Make room
This isn’t a conference.
There won’t be a packed schedule of speakers and sessions competing for your attention.
Instead, we’ll provide a framework and then give you something increasingly difficult to find: time and space.
Time to pray. Time to walk. Time to read Scripture. Time to journal. Time to sit beside a fire. Time to be outside. Time to listen.
And perhaps even time to do absolutely nothing.
The setting
Our retreat takes place on a secluded mountain property overlooking Lake Arrowhead, with lodge gathering spaces, fireplaces, outdoor decks and patios, and wooded paths throughout the property.

Property photographs are from an earlier listing and may not reflect every current furnishing or amenity.
The weekend
Enough structure to help you enter the experience—and enough open space to receive what you need.
Arrive in the mountains. Settle in. Share dinner together. We’ll introduce the practices of silence and solitude and prepare you for the day ahead.
From the time you wake until the conclusion of dinner, we’ll practice silence. Walk, pray, sleep, journal, read, sit beside the fire, spend time outside, or use an optional guided practice.
After dinner, we’ll break our silence with worship and an opportunity to share what God surfaced during the day.
After breakfast and a morning devotion, we’ll consider how to bring silence, listening, and intentional presence with God back into normal life. We’ll head home before lunch.
A technology fast
When you arrive Friday evening, we’ll invite you to turn in your phone for secure storage. You’ll receive it back when the retreat concludes Sunday.
We’ll also ask you to refrain from smartwatches, tablets, laptops, headphones, and personal technology. Before the retreat, we’ll provide an emergency contact number for your family.
This isn’t about rules. It’s about making room.

You won’t be alone in the silence
Practicing silence and solitude doesn’t mean you’ll be left on your own.
Throughout Saturday, the retreat leadership team will be available for optional one-on-one coaching, spiritual counsel, processing, and prayer.
Maybe something surfaces that you want help processing. Maybe you want prayer. Maybe you’d benefit from coaching around something you’re discerning. Or maybe you simply need someone to sit with you for a few minutes.
There is no additional cost for this support.
Your retreat leaders
Four leaders, two couples, and one shared desire: to create a peaceful place where you can slow down, listen, and become more aware of God’s presence.

Selah Sustained Counseling Center
Kerri Anne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and co-owner of Selah Sustained Counseling Center with her husband, Jonathan. She brings a deep love for Jesus and a passion for the connection between emotional and spiritual healing. Through her work, she has seen the beauty of slowing down, becoming honest about what is happening within, and inviting God into the places we often try to carry alone. She desires to help people feel seen, experience renewal, and become more deeply rooted in who God has created them to be.
Jonathan is a licensed minister, Navy veteran, husband, and father whose ministry has included missions, discipleship, leadership, refugee ministry, and caring for missionaries and people navigating transition. His own journey has taught him the importance of stepping away from busyness to become still and listen to God. He brings a heart for helping others recognize God’s presence and develop practices that nurture an ongoing relationship with Him.
Together, Kerri Anne and Jonathan are excited to lead this retreat, creating a peaceful, welcoming space for rest, honest reflection, and deeper connection with God.

Not at all. We’ll prepare you Friday night and provide optional resources and practices throughout Saturday. You don’t need to know how to “do” a silent retreat.
That’s part of the experience we’re asking everyone to enter together. Your phone will be securely stored, and an emergency number will be available for your family.
Yes, with the exception of conversations with retreat leaders for coaching, counsel, or prayer when needed. We’ll break silence together after dinner.
That’s part of the invitation. Optional stations, Scripture, prompts, trails, places to sit, and other resources will be available. You do not have to fill every moment.
Yes. Because most lodging is shared and same-gender, couples may sleep separately unless one of the limited private accommodations is available.
Comfortable layered clothing, walking shoes, a Bible, journal, personal toiletries, and anything else included on the packing list we’ll send before the retreat.
Include any dietary restrictions in your pre-registration email. We’ll confirm what the kitchen can accommodate before your registration is finalized.
Before you rush back into the year
Maybe you don’t need another goal, another podcast, another book, or another plan.
Maybe you need space. Silence. Solitude. Rest. God.
